Jessica's New Gig

I've had a ton of shoots lately, but I've been such a bad blogger! I haven't posted anything. I think I have too much baby on the brain!

Here's the latest shoot I did, and I promise to add more before I go on my break! I promise!!

Jessica is a real beauty with real talent. This amazing girl is restarting her client roster as a the newest stylist at Rush Hair Studio in Barrie. This salon is brand new in Barrie too....http://www.rushhairstudio.com/

Jessica needed some headshots to put in the paper so her dedicated clients can find her, so she asked me, and I was so happy to do it! We went around Heritage Park to find some fun, casual, very pretty shots of this very pretty girl. She rocked it!

Good luck Jess at the new Salon! I know you're going to rock the hairstyling world!

This was just a nothing shot to test the light, but I love it. I love the look on her face, how she's looking away. I thought she looked so beautiful. Goes to show even test shots can be print-worthy!

Ok. I admit it, I'm now officially obsessed with this grass ever since Allison's Maternity Shoot. I love the way it looks!

Now, go and make yourself an appointment with Jessica!

Baby Bump!

They're a small family that's about to a little bigger. Allison, Dell and Hannah are expecting a little girl any time now and they wanted to have their photos taken while the baby is still a little bump.

I was surprised when Allison contacted me about a month ago to do the photos and found out that we are due on the exact same day! How funny is that? Allison looks so cute with her little bump (mine is the size of Russia).

We went to Heritage Park in Barrie and took advantage of the early evening sunshine that I am so in love with right now. It casts the perfect glow and the sun is at the right level so I never have to worry about raccoon eyes.

I'm so happy with these photos, not only because these three are an amazing family, but because I now understand how important it is for a pregnant woman to feel beautiful when her body has changed so much. I think Allison looks absolutely beautiful with only weeks to go until her little girl comes into the world.

2 year old Hannah is so adorable!

I love this shot. They look like they're so in love!

The funniest word you ever heard....

I can totally understand how hard it is to be in front of the camera. I do it everyday in my regular day job....it's hard! But I found a secret trick this past week and it works wonders with trying to get kids to laugh and smile when they really don't want to have their pictures taken.

Ruben and Grace, their Mom Jen and their Nana Jane met me at Sunnidale Park for some family portraits. Months ago I donated a photo session to a Breast Cancer fundraiser my cousin was holding. Jane was the successful bidder and held on to it until her daughter and grandkids came to Barrie from British Columbia.

Grace and Ruben are such adorable kids who were so excited to be at the park. But near the end they didn't want their photos taken....so I had to think quick. What will make them laugh...and then I got it. I have to admit, it's a little emabrrassing, but it WORKS!!! I said, "say the funniest word you've ever heard.....like Diarreah." That's right. I said it. And it made them laugh! So, we definitely got some great stuff out these guys...and all it took was one little word.

Enjoy the adorableness that is Ruben and Grace!

More of Ellie!

Little Miss Ellie is definitely a favourite of blog readers. Ever since her first photo shoot with me, I have been getting a ton of email about how adorable she is.

This little sweetheart is definitely growing up! Sarah and Ellie are back in Ontario for a few weeks and I've noticed huge changes in her. Now she has some big teeth in her mouth and she's learning how to walk. It feels like it was just yesterday I was posing her on a piano at three months old. Now she's 10 months old! Unbelievable!

Here's a few shots we took while I was visiting Sarah and her family at their beautiful cottage near Havelock.

Ellie was standing all on her own!

Jen and Adam are getting married!

Jen and Adam have been engaged for almost a year. But they still have just over a year left until their wedding day! This fabulous couple likes to take it slow and steady. Let it simmer and gather flavour. I'm a big believer in letting things evolve.

Jen and Adam have this great connection. They're fun-loving and always laughing, but when you tell them to start kissing and just forget about the camera....man, do they listen! I could feel the heat between them through my lens!

They wanted to do their engagement photos at Barrie's waterfront, because that's where they had their first date. We were blessed with an amazing setting sun and warm temperatures. Blessed, because it rained for about 7 days straight! And we had to get their adorable black lab, Gus in the shots too....even if all he wanted was to jump in the water!

I can't wait for your wedding in September 2010 at the Nottawasaga Inn!

Total coincidence that we stopped infront of the K at the Marina. Adam's last name is Kinsella!

My fave shot of the day!

Posing in front of a gorgeous sailboat. It's for sale if anyone's interested!

Gus! I loved this little guy. He really has a very long tongue! I think I'll nickname him Gene Simmons.

By Popular Demand

I keep getting asked to post belly pics on the internet. I have to admit, I originally didn't want to because I look at myself and think, wow, I really do not look good pregnant.

But after some thought I decided, as much as I complain about how uncomfortable I am, or how I think I look, you can't beat the fact that in 6 1/2 weeks there will be a little baby here that I am completely responsible for.....and couldn't love more. It's the most amazing feeling when the little guy moves around, and I love the look on Tobin's face when he feels it. It's pretty cool.

Our good friend, and photographer Stephan (he has taken every photo of us: engagement, wedding and now maternity) of http://enlightenedimages.ca took these photos of us and I am so grateful. He does amazing work!

I promised Tobin I wouldn't post it on facebook....but this isn't facebook!

Shannon and Jeff are Married!

The warmth from all the guests could be felt the minute you walked into the church. This couple is well loved. Anyone who was at Shannon and Jeff's wedding was immediately welcomed into the family, and it didn't matter if it was the first time you'd met them.

Shannon and Jeff had a beautiful traditional wedding in Barrie. Shannon knew what she wanted, how she wanted it and how she was going to get it to turn out they way she dreamed. As a result she was not only a dream to work with, but her dream wedding went off without a hitch.

Shannon and Jeff are the kind of couple who you can feel the love radiate off them even before they touch each other. They didn't want kissing shots, and I don't think we needed them. You could tell they were crazy about each other just by looking!

I know this couple will have a long and happy marriage and I look forward to photographing them through the major milestones in their life together. Shannon, you promised I'd get the shots of your kids and I'm going to hold you to it! Thanks for allowing me to have so much fun while I was working.....I felt really guilty, by the way!

Every detail was taken care of and Shannon has the most impeccable taste, from the amazing red dresses to the prettiest bouquets I've ever seen!

Shannon was glowing! And her three bridesmaids were not only her best friends, but her family.

Beautiful bride.

Shannon's bouquet. I love it when a Bride goes all out for her bouquet.

This is one of my favourite shots of the day. I had a few minutes before the ceremony to capture a few of Jeff while whe was waiting for his Bride.

The whole gang!

The couple had this amazing car from 1939. The driver was so careful with the car, and it shows in the condition. It's in mint condition! What a great thing to have on your wedding day!

Champagne by the vintage car.

Shannon is an interior designer, so there were so many cool things in their home, including these amazing letters on her dresser.

And while I keep giving props to Shannon's sense of style, I have to give some to Jeff too. This amazing cake was his idea! I fell for it too....when I arrived I nearly had a heart attack thinking someone had already got at the cake.

The coolest centrepieces I've ever seen.

The BEST idea for the midnight snack. Couldn't get enough of this idea...and I think it was another one of Jeff's ideas. A huge hit!
