Angela and Matt E-session

This was one of the most fun shoots I have ever been on. Matt and Ange are a couple that never stops laughing. And for Matt, he never stopped looking at Ange or touching her. Honestly, I don't know how many times I had to tell him to look at the camera, not and Ange. It is so amazing to see a couple so in love...and a woman so worshipped!
Matt and Ange live in Tottenham, and it's famous for it's antique steam train. Since Matt works at CN Rail, we had to do a shoot devoted to his love of trains, plus it's romanticism (yes, I watch too many movies based on the 40's like Pearl Harbour).
Matt and Ange had their wedding a few weeks ago, and I can't wait to show you those photos too.
Enjoy!

Tutu Sweet!

It was undoubtedly the most amazing email I have ever received. After a day of stress, near tears, and feeling uncertain about my future, I opened my email at the end of the day and cried. I honestly cried and thanked the Heavens that this email came through when it did...when I needed it the most.
Stephanie is a mom of twin girls, and through the words written in this email I could sense she was a kind, soft soul. She told me how much she liked my work and would be willing to give me a tutu she made from hand if I just mentioned her business in a featured shoot. Well, after lifting my spirits and stroking my ego the way she had I couldn't just do that. I had to do more! So, after a few exchanges of emails, we set a date and her two girls Myah and Molly and my little model Ellie.
I totally recommend Stephanie's work. She has a wide assortment of tutus and styles, and she knows how they should fit on a little girl...because she has two of her own.
Special thanks to Dana from http://pictureperfectphotography-alliston.blogspot.com/ (the BEST children's photographer ever!) who was awesome and lent us the wicker chair!! Man, was this shoot a love fest, or what? I love it!
Stephanie, thank you for inspiring me and for being my "sign" when I asked for one. You are the best.
I love Mom-preneurs! Enjoy! And please check out Tutu Sweet. http://www.facebook.com/#!/TutuSweet1

Pat and Paul are Married!

On the day Patricia and Paul were married it was probably the most relaxed I've ever been as a wedding photographer, and they were without a doubt the most relaxed couple I've ever seen get married. They were radiating with happiness and immediately made me feel like I was part of their small, intimate party and not like an outsider.
They laughed, never stopped smiling and easily mingled with their guests as they ate oysters and shrimp and drank sangria before the ceremony.
Patricia and Paul found each other later in life, and over the past few years their love bloomed. They are best friends, soulmates, they are madly in love. You can see that even when they are not standing right next to each other. The thing I think makes them such a strong couple is their strong sense of family. With four beautiful daughters and three toddler grandsons, they are one big happy family.
I am so honoured to be a part of their day and witness the love between these two. Hope you enjoy these shots!

Brittany and Bill Engaged!

They are enigmas. That's the best word can I use to describe them. They are both soft and sweet, full of love and laughter. But they are artistic, expressive and ready for fun.

Bill is forever the protector of Brittany. The beautiful, soft spoken, doe-eyed girl. Bill is kind, and never takes his eyes off his bride. Brittany is very girly in a way you just want to hug her! While they are so incredibly in love, you never feel like the outsider when you're around them.
My first time meeting this amazing couple from Toronto was for their engagement session in Victoria Harbour. I met most of their family that day as there was a big party for them too. They never seemed stressed, they just went with the flow....and I loved that!
Their Maid of Honour Erin came for support...and I immediately felt like I was their friend. No awkwardness at all. The best part for me is when a couple is at ease and is not afraid to show their love to all. Even to the photographer they just met.
I hope you enjoy these photos. I can't help but smile every time I look at them.

Too Cute!

I couldn't resist posting this photo from Pat and Paul's wedding two weeks ago. These twins were truly the comic relief at the wedding, and their hilarious antics kinda stole the show.
I think they're adorable in their fedoras!

Baby Brianna

I've taken a lot of photos of the Lewis/Groen family over the years, and in all fairness, I owe them my entire photography career. Without my good friend Kim allowing me to shoot her wedding three years ago, I probably wouldn't be doing this. She took a chance on me, and I am eternally grateful.
Not only that, it's been an immense pleasure to document the birth of nieces, weddings, family photos, etc. I feel like I'm part of their family sometimes....probably because they are so kind to everyone they meet.
About a year and a half ago tragedy struck this amazing family. If anyone didn't deserve to have their father and husband taken away from them so suddenly, it was the Lewis family. While the pain of losing their father is still very real, every day, they are living their lives. I know their Dad isn't far from their minds.
That's why it was an extra special treat to meet Baby Brianna, Rebecca's seven week old girl. It's almost as if she is the gift to the family that may mend their broken hearts. Boy, is she a gift! Brianna turned it on for the camera and her sweet face was so adorable I couldn't believe it.
I love these photos of the little one, and I hope she is every bit as bright and lovable as her grandfather was. He truly was a happy soul...and I think he's watching over this lovebug every day.

Becky and Hunter are engaged!

I have been dying to show you these photos of Becky and Hunter. I spent an entire evening with this incredible couple at Ashley and Shawn's wedding last October and I instantly loved them. They have this chemistry that I love to see when you know a couple is just meant for each other. So, when it came time to do their engagement photos, I knew I was going to get nothing less than very romantic, beautiful photos.
My good friend, and crazy talented photographer, Adrionna came with me and we met at Hunter's workplace in wine country. Yes, he probably has my dream job next to photography. But while the grape vines were not in bloom, the apple trees were spectacular!
Even though it rained a bit, it cast a beautiful misty feel on the day that just added to the day. It didn't get these guys down. They went for it! They would kiss without being asked, they played, they cuddled. This was a dream session!
I can't wait until their wedding day! Enjoy these shots...I know I do!
