Jennelle and Brandon are Married!! Teaser.....

It feels so good to be back shooting weddings again! Weddings are such happy times that I am totally addicted to them! How could you not be? All the love, the fun, the music, the food, the laughs....the tears of joy. LOVES IT!

Jennelle and Brandon were married at the gorgeous Barrie Country Club last weekend and I as I am going through the photos I am really proud of the shots. It's because everyone was so joyous and relaxed. That's when the best photos come out!

Here are a few from the big day....and there are soooo many more to come. I think you're going to like them!

Brad and Candice in Love Take 2

It is a rare thing to see these days....a man who just takes care of his woman. Candice and Brad are what I like to call the old fashioned couple... and that's a good thing!

We went to these amazing railroad tracks near Angus where there were some train cars all uglied up with graffiti. Loved it! Brad took care of his Bride-to-Be, helping on and off the train, helping her with her step on the tracks and just loving her. There is something to be said about a man who still holds on to chivalrous values. Love it!

Not to outdone, Candice has this way of looking at Brad, that I like to think makes him melt every time she does. It's just full of love!

I am soooo in love with love. So, I sooooo loved to take these photos.

Enjoy!

I'm on Etsy

For the last few weeks I've been looking at this amazing website for artists called Etsy. I never thought I could be a part of this community of artists who are selling their work. But after talking with an old friend ( and getting much encouragement from her), plus reviewing my post about my 2010 list....I took the leap.

I'm on Etsy. I have 2 photos I have listed right now, and I'm hoping to have more soon. It's really scary, but exciting too.

If you haven't checked out his amazing site yet, you definitely should. There are some incredibly talented photographers, artists, knitters, seamstresses, etc. There's literally everything on here. It's like Kempenfest on the net.

Check out Etsy.com and search me! Here's a shot that I have listed too. Fingers crossed.

Sixteen and Totally Sweet

Do have a moment in your life when someone you knew quite well (sister, brother, in my case, cousin) suddenly grew up in front of your eyes? That happened to me last week.

My 16 year-old cousin Chelsea surprised me during our photo shoot last week. I thought of her as my cute little cousin, but once she got in front of the camera, I realized she wasn't my three old pal anymore. She's grown up into a very grounded, cool woman. That was a hard pill to swallow at first. But as the shoot continued I couldn't help but change the way I looked at her.

Going to the shoot, I was expecting her to make very pretty, smiley, cute poses. I got a few of those, but the other poses are what showed her true personality that is beaming with confidence.

As sad as it is to see Chelsea grow up, I think I'm going to have a lot of fun with this new person I just realized she's become.

A Winter Wonderland

I usually hate winter. I think when you live in a city you tend to see winter only as an inconvenience: shovelling, scraping, slush.....the thought of it all makes me shudder.

But driving out to horse country (King Township) with my friend Tara, you get to see all the beauty that winter has. The snow in the fields and on the fir trees. The horses in the pastures with a snowy, treed hill behind them. It's actually perfect.

When Tara's Mother wanted winter-themed photos of her daughters on her farm, I could see why she likes her farm better in the winter. It looked like it was taken out of a snow globe and planted in the country. The gazebo, the horses, the stable. Perfect.

So, when I say I usually hate winter....I didn't this day. And I don't if I'm out of the country...and I don't have to shovel.

Enjoy these beautiful pictures of Tara, her Mom and her sister Carrie.

Shawna and Ryan Maternity

Holy Crap, it's been a month since my last post. Someone smack me!

I couldn't wait to post some of my last shoots. I met up with Shawna and Ryan a few weeks ago. Shawna was 34 weeks pregnant, just went on maternity leave from her job as a nurse at the hospital and was sooooo ready to meet her little baby Carter. Little did we all know, she wouldn't have to wait long. Two weeks later, Carter made his big arrival a little early.

Here are some of the photos from Shawna's maternity session. Good thing we didn't leave it any longer! Shawna looks gorgeous with her baby bump and I loved her energy and excitement for her baby.

Shawna, you're going to love motherhood. Especially with a little boy. They love their mommies!

Portrait Sale

For the last four and a half months I have been taking things slow. Getting my camera out for the occasional photo shoot, and most often for capturing everything new thing my little Cooper discovers. But now I'm ready to get back into capturing everything you need photographed.

So, to help relieve my semi-boredom and to get all the ideas I have in my head on film....I'm holding a sale!

My regular portrait fees are now $100. But from now until March 14th I'm offering you $25 off! You get a disc with all your images too!

Contact me at aprylmunro@hotmail.com or by phone: 705-721-6265 to book your session.

Families, friends, kids, fur-kids ....anyone can be part of this, any style. But only for a limited time.

Can't wait to see you!

Just for fun, here's one of my favourite photos from last year of Ellie and Sarah.
